Clean gently
Use mild soap, clean water and a soft cloth or sponge. Rinse lightly and dry with a soft towel. Avoid abrasive pads, harsh solvents and concentrated household chemicals.
Do not pressure-wash
High-pressure water can lift paint, damage carved details and drive moisture into exposed edges or mounting holes. Keep pressure washers away from the sign.
Inspect vulnerable areas
Check routed MDO edges, corners, screw holes, hangers and the bottom edge where water may collect. On PVC, inspect paint adhesion and hardware even though the substrate will not rot.
