CNC routing creates depth
A router can carve letters, pockets, profiles and dimensional relief into MDO, PVC and many woods. The resulting shadows and tactile depth remain visible from farther away.
Laser engraving excels at fine surface detail
Lasers can reproduce small text, photographs and intricate linework on compatible materials. The mark is generally shallower and may have a burned appearance on wood.
Outdoor suitability depends on material
A process alone does not make a sign outdoor-ready. Exterior material, coatings and installation remain critical. Many laser-friendly indoor woods are not ideal for continuous exterior exposure.
